The leading international fair for the photography market


For more than 25 years, Paris Photo, the leading international fair dedicated to photography and image-based art, has been accompanying galleries and publishers, together with their artists, in the art market. The 28th fair will take place from 13 to 16 November 2025 (preview on the 12th for VIP) at the Grand Palais, the iconic monument in the heart of Paris.

Applications are now open.

The application deadlines are April 15, 2025 for the Principal sector and Prismes projects,
and April 30, 2025 for the other sectors: Book, Digital, Emergence and Voices.

 

Please note, that only art galleries and editors may apply, Paris Photo does not accept applications from artists.

Paris Photo - key figures


Featuring more than 200 galleries and 45 publishers, Paris Photo offers a rich programme that spans five sectors: Main, Emergence, Digital, Voices and Book.

In 2024, Paris Photo welcomed over 80,000 visitors, including 1,700 artists and 400 book signings, 7,000 collectors and VIP, 245 exhibitors from more than 30 different countries, and representatives from 200 international museums & institutions.

5 Sectors


Main and Prismes projects
 

The Main sector hosts 200 international galleries exhibiting historical and contemporary photographs as well as image-based arts, offering the broadest overview of the medium. Incorporated into the Main sector, the Prismes projects explore uses of the image in a diverse range of practices, in dialogue with other media: exceptional projects, very large formats, series and sculptural installations, video art.

Book 
 

The Book sector features specialist publishing houses, who are displaying photography books, limited editions, printed works, multiples and artist’s books. Publishers are selected by a committee of specialists from the world of publishing.

Digital
 

Since 2023, Paris Photo has been offering a digital sector dedicated to photography and the image in the digital age. Curated by Nina Roehrs, specialist for art in the digital age, the sector presents a selection of contemporary art galleries and curated platforms at the forefront of new technologies, highlighting artists who incorporate digital realities in their work.

With the pioneering creation of the Digital sector in 2023, Paris Photo was the first fair in Europe to dedicate a specific programme, offering a unique space to this sector in the heart of the Grand Palais nave.

Voices

For the second year, Paris Photo invites two renowned curators to select artists from the international scene for the Voices sector. They are invited to create a proposal centred on contemporary themes in order to spotlight an artistic scene or the use of a particular medium in a shared space. 

The 2025 curators are:

– Dr Devika Singh, Senior Lecturer at the Courtauld Institute
– Nadine Wietlishbach, Director of Fotomuseum Winterthur

Emergence 

The Emergence sector features 24 galleries and showcases solo artists’ shows centred on a specific project. Galleries show a new project or one that is presented by a young gallery. Since 2018, Paris Photo has been supporting young international galleries and artists with an attractive offer. The Emergence sector is located along the walkways on the first floor of the Grand Palais, overlooking the nave.
